Shouting Rocks!
Luke 19:39-40
Some of the Parisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!" "I tell you", he replied, "If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

So what's all the shouting about? All God's creation knows their creator and serves to bring glory to God.
Even the rocks cry out His name!
I beleive that each individual is created for a divine purpose, and mine is to bring attention the beauty of God's creation. Who would think that a necklace or a pair of earrings could tell a story about Jesus but God has made that possible for me. It's funny how the things in my life that have torn me to shreds and brought me to my knees are the very things that have inspired me to make my most beautiful pieces of jewelry. I have heard other Christian artists say the same about their work. I think it's because when we are put through the fire, we become more like Jesus. That is when the best inspiration comes, right after a glimps of God's awesome power.
My goal is for the natural elements in my jewelry to bring glory to God.

The Thorn
The inspiration for this necklace came after a period of hardship in my life. Everyday I prayed that this hardship would pass. I kept reminding the Lord of how much I was suffering expecting Him to reach down at any moment and remove me from that situation but each day, I’d wake up and find that there was no change. Eventually, I came to realize that God was using this hardship to teach me how to be more like Him. So I continued to move forward in spite of my discomfort, remaining in obedience of the Lord. That is when I came to understand that God’s grace is sufficient and I was reminded of this verse:
2 Corinthians 12:7-10
7To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 10That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
The Thorn is actually made out of a piece of petrified wood.
